My business has changed to a consultative, professional services business and the name Point Of Sale Max no longer fits my new business focus.
Point Of Sale Max; The website and email address, will lapse and not be renewed in November 2022. Some assets like phone numbers have already been disconnected. Some transactions - especially with long established customers - will continue to occur under the DBA of Point Of Sale Max which I will continue to own.
My business going forward will simply be
I started Point Of Sale Max in Yakima, Washington, in 2006. Over the years, I met many great people who became more than customers. They became my friends.
Much has happened over the last couple of years. The centerpiece of it all was the Covid-19 pandemic. The resulting mandated business closures were a major blow to many of my friends' restaurants and retail stores, and of course, it had an enormous impact on my business. Some of my friends didn't make it through the storm. Others adapted and did well for themselves. While we were in the middle of that, my wife decided after 35 years at her company, it was time to take early retirement. We had long talked in general terms about how we would "someday" move to Spokane, Washington - closer to parents, siblings, children, and grandchildren. But, of course, we always discussed moving in general terms and wishful thinking. After all, I had a business and customers who depended on me.
But then, in the Summer of 2020, we went to Spokane and were "just-looking" at the real estate market in Spokane. The next thing we knew, we had found the perfect home in the perfect neighborhood, just a short walk away from our kids and grandkids. The home construction was complete in November, and by Christmas of 2020, we were settling into our new home.
Now that I am based in Spokane, I am in business as a consultant. My old business name of Point Of Sale Max and all the assets that go with that are not reflective of my current enterprises.
The domain name POINTOFSALEMAX.COM is up for renewal in November 2022, and I have decided not to renew it. Therefore, the Pointofsalemax.com website will close at that time. Unfortunately, that means I will also lose access to my [email protected] email address.
Although the website and email address are closing and my future business operations will be under my name, Gary D. Swart, The DBA of Point Of Sale Max will continue to be mine and I will transact some business under that name especially with long standing clients.
Please update your records to [email protected] for future email correspondence.

Effective immediately the following phone numbers have been disconnected:
These phone numbers had become Robo-caller magnets, and relatively few customers called them.
From now on, I will only have one phone line. 509-961-1971
So to summarize, Gary D Swart is a business consultant and the website www.pointofsalemax.com goes away in November 2022. I disconnected three phone lines effective immediately. I'm embracing the idea of retirement, but for now, I am continuing in business as a consultant and these changes help support that change.
